The Biltmore

This weekend was packed with fun! We had the chance to go up to the mountains and pick apples, visit the Biltmore, and see Chimeny Rock park. Our trip started off with seeing the Biltmore Estate. Dakota was almost beside himself that he got to go into a "real castle." The boys held up surprisingly well, until we hit the 4th floor. Dakota needed a potty break, and we found there were no restrooms but on the 1st floor. needless to say,it was a tough trip back down. Once we were done with the inside of the house,we went to the winery, and then the estate farm. This was probably the highlight for Rory. The kids got to pet some goats, feed the sheep, and there were a couple of baby goats that Rory fell in love with. Dakota enjoyed watching the pigs and the newborn chicks the most. All in all,we feel so blessed that we have had the chance to see some of the beautiful areas in and around our home, and love that our boys have a chance to learn and explore about all the wonderful surroundings right outside our door.
