Today's weather forecast is sunny and nearly 80 degrees! So we relaxed this morning, played and made cupcakes* (see post below) And enjoyed the perfect weather outside. I cannot wait till spring is here full on. I love all the new blooms on all the flowers and trees. We have been taking care of straightening out some of the areas around the home, and starting to organize all the winter gear back into their boxes. I can't tell you how happy I am to pack it all away. I will be sad to see February go though. It means I am nearly another year older, as well as our Rebecca. It happens though. I still have lots to get done with laundry, picture albums, and general cleaning, it just never ends! So at least I will be keeping busy. Have a great week all!

Today I spent playing around with the kids (see the theme of me always playing!?!) And then I baked some of the scrumiest cupcakes EVER! So what I did was make the chocolate cupcakes (from a mix this time) I don't often use mixes, but for cucakes I like to so that they remain nice and moist. Then I took and put blackberry preserve in the middle and whipped up some cream cheese frosting for on top. They are soooo good! Rory was the one to vote for the sugar pearls on top. I love to bake and decorate cupcakes, something so happy about a cupcake,and a wonderful way to spend our Sunday together.

Rory's room, done!

It has been such nice weather here that I finally finished the last wall in Rory's bedroom. One project down, more to go. Next I will be taking care of refinishing our breakfast table/chairs. As soon as it warms up again anyway! Sorry for the pitiful pictures, but Rory is very hyper lately, so there is not time to get anything done once he is home from school. That is what I am at home for though. To teach,play, and have fun with my babes. Speaking of which Rebecca is up. Stay tuned, more to come...

Headboard dilemma

So this is Rebecca's room with her new twin bed. Originally I was always going to do an upholstered headboard in a similar color to the monogram "R" but am now leaning toward maybe an off white color? Any input is welcome.

In other news, we have got some BEAUTIFUL weather happening here lately! Fuad and I have been outside with the kids every chance we get. Rory is now fully potty trained,and is working on reading and writing. He can write his name as well as Dakota does now! Dakota is,as always, loving school and all that goes along with it. He is doing way better in math now and is enjoying showing us all the new things he learns each day.

Fuad has been working hard and is always happy to see the weekends. He sits and plays with the kids,watches golf and plays Guitar as much as humanly possible. His practice is paying off too because he sounds great! As for Rebecca and I, we just enjoy our girl time together. She is a mess but a hell of a lot of fun to hang out with each day. That is pretty much it at the house of Carrera. I will get back to normal with the blogs soon. Promise!

Today we spent playing, filling out the boys valentine's for their classes, and making a special little "Valentine brownie cake" for Fuad. Better we enjoy it over the weekend as a family I say.
