52 week project, week 52

Week 52: Celebration

Gathered around the table with family, taking turns reading the corny jokes from our Christmas crackers, and celebrating the reason for the season!

And that wraps up another project 52. I have not decided whether or not I will continue with another one next year, or try my hand at another 365 project. I failed badly at the last attempt. We shall see!

Christmas 2014

We had a very Merry Christmas once again! Santa sure did reward these kids for a job well done too. As with every year we are spending the day at home, enjoying our time together. The day has been full of laughing and silliness. We hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas as well!

 

 

 

 

Christmas Pajamas and some updates

 

So I haven't really written much on here lately. And I know some of the family still use this as a source of updates, so here goes.

First off Fuad and I are doing great. Fuad has been keeping busy with work and enjoying time with us bunch of crazies a lot of the time. I am still working from home doing childcare while the kids are in school. I love having little ones around the house. it somehow makes it easier to bear my own kids growing up so quickly.
Dakota has been having a good year in 5th grade. He is learning lots of new things and has made a lot of new friends.
Rory finished his ABA therapy he has had the last 3 years. So we are ding our best to adjust to that. he has also been having a fantastic school year, and is now working on the standard 2nd grade curriculum!
Rebecca is loving Kindergarten, is reading now and is just as happy as ever. She loves her class and has gotten stellar reports for the first half of the year.
That is pretty much it for us. We are hoping to wrap up 2014 and are looking forward to making 2015 just as great!

 Church is one of the few places we can bring Rory and he is happy to tough it out. He knows that the lord made him special, and is happy to feed the soul during the advent service.

Fall pictures with Becca

Crazy that we took these in November right?!? It was beautiful yesterday and so us girls took a break  from Fall cleaning and went out to take some pictures. Yes, Fall cleaning, anyone who knows us knows this is totally normal... anyways,She is my only kid that begs me to let her dress up like a princess and capture it somewhere! I am all over it. My boys just don't feel the same. Which is ok. Becca also says she really misses our 'girl time' that we used to have before she started school. Poor kiddo has to grow up though.

Halloween Fourteen

 

Halloween 2014 was another fun one! Short this year, we got rained out about an hour and a half in... but fun all the same! I completely failed on taking Rebecca's picture all by herself. We were racing against the clock. But I got a few of the boys, and of course they got some of Fuad and I as Doctor Who and the Tardis!!! We had a blast. We hope all our friends and family did as well!

Today we got to celebrate my Mom's 68th Birthday! I love you and am so happy to be able to spend these wonderful occasions with you both! Hope you had a wonderful day!

Riverbend farm

Since I got my boot off we decided we would take the kids to the pumpkin patch and let them burn off some energy. It has been a pretty dull month for them with me laid up on the couch and it was wonderful to get out and do something! I love my family so much, and even though it was not cool and cloudy like the forecast said we all had a great time. The Autumn season is off to a great start here!

Rory's 8!!!

Happy 8th Birthday to our amazing Rory Ian!! As some of you know this week I broke my ankle, so we kept it simple for Rory's Birthday this year. There was just no was I was going to be able to keep up with a bunch of kiddos. We had the grandparents over and enjoyed dinner and cake, and opened up presents. As you can see from the pictures Rory absolutely loved it all! He is growing up to be such a wonderful young man. Rory is coming along in leaps and bounds, we even started him in his communion classes and they are going great. :) Happy Birthday to our sweet Little boy! We love you!
