Catch up on the 52 week project

I got behind on posting. Things are always a bit hectic here it seems! Anyhow, for week 7 I used a couple of the snow pictures, so I won't bother re-posting those.

Great friendship

This is one of my best friends, Katherine. She just happened to be up here visiting for the weekend. Which meant we had to find a way to get together! She came up with her boyfriend and he seems like a great guy. I am happy they have found each other. We have known each other since about 7th Grade, and even through kids, moves, distance and all we still remain friends. We were laughing and joking like we never missed a beat. I am so grateful to have the friends I do. New and old. And no matter how often we speak, or visit each other, we always remain close. Love you girl!

Last of the snow pictures

These will be the last of the snow pictures. In all we got about 8 1/2" of snow and ice. Fuad and I said it is the most we have ever seen since we moved here. The kids have been having a blast playing, sledding, and goofing off together! Lucky for us one of our neighbors is away on business for about 1 month so we went across the street to sled on the hill in his backyard. We had such fun! Rebecca was loving it until she got up too much speed and flipped out of her sled and into the snow. Then she was not so happy. But lucky for us we went for a walk around the neighborhood and Becca saw a girl in her Elsa costume from Frozen, and the girl had made a snowman like in the movie. The girl let Becca jump in a few pictures and made our little girl SO happy! We love living here, and hope that every few years we can be lucky enough to see snow like today!

2014 snow

We are getting quite the snow storm for the Carolinas and it's only at about the halfway point right now. We let the kids out to enjoy yesterday, and early today. Before the sleet and ice starts. Now they are all curled up playing video games and reading books.

 

 

 

 

 

 

52 week project, week 6

Week 6: Story

Our daughter is your typical chatty little girl, and always has a story to tell. So while I did her hair before preschool, Rebecca told me how she dreams of flying on a Pegasus around the world!
