Let's go to the circus

We went to the circus and had the time of our lives! ALL the kids did sooooo awesome! No one fell apart, and everyone loved it. Dakota liked the clowns best. Rory did as well. I have never seen Rory laugh so hard at anything in his little life as he did at the clowns and their slapstick shenanigans. Rebecca liked the whole thing...I think. And Fuad and I just loved watching the kids enjoy themselves. Unfortunately they asked everyone to NOT take pictures, and we were for the most part respectful of the request. We had a good time and will surely be going again.

More cupcakes please

Fuad was looking through my photo album my mom sent and laughed his ass off that even as a kid I loved baking! He did note that my cupcakes look much more appitizing then they did in past pictures, but it is true. I love to bake.



I told fuad I was going to make him something special for our anniversary. So I made some chocolate mocha cupcakes.Yea, it is a little early, like by a week...but I felt like doing it today. They turned out PERFECT!!!! I hope he loves them as well.

Rebecca turns 2: Photobooth fun

Well, I think this is the last post for Becca's Birthday. The photobooth was a fun idea and the kids LOVED it! What kid does not like being silly in front of a camera? My friend Mindy took lots of wonderful pictures of all the kids. There are So many cute ones,and I will be sure to post most of them as time goes on. These are a taste of the silliness that went on. We are so lucky to have such awesome friends!

Do not expect too many breathtaking shots of our little "lady". She did not want anything to do with a camera! I am trying to break this up into smaller posts, so it is not just a massive photo dump. There were so many sweet pictures that I am trying to get as many in as possible!

Rebecca turns 2: The food

Today was a wonderful day with friends. Rebecca loved every moment of her party (except having her picture taken) And there are too many pictures,I am sure of that! My wonderful friend Mindy at http://forevermakingmemories.blogspot.com/ took a TON of amazing pictures of the birthday girl and all her guests which I will be sure to share with you on a post soon. But for now, I am sharing the yummy eats we enjoyed! First off, the cake fiasco was just that. I called the day before to confirm and the bakery assured me it would be. Fast forward to this morning and the order was not ready. It got miss- filed for tomorrow!!! So I patiently waited around for 30 mins. while they made Rebecca's cake,and they threw in some sweet little tea cup chocolate molds with whipped cream cheese for FREE! So not an all bad experience, but still frustrating. Overall,it worked out fine though. No harm, no foul.

Hip horray, Rebecca is 2 today!

Our baby girl is 2 years old today. She is such a HAPPY and VERY silly girl! Rebecca generally spends her days waking up before the sun, yelling for food from time to time, and enjoying LOTS of tea parties with me and her dolls. I cannot belive how she has grown in the last year and we cannot wait to see what this next year will bring!

50mm

For my upcoming birthday Fuad got me a new 50mm lens for my camera. I have wanted this lens for a couple years now but did not realize how tricky it is to get completly focused on the object at hand. So far I am in LOVE. Aside from the fact that autofocus is not a feature . (sigh) So I just work hard to make sure Ii get shots that work. So today was the day I took it for a test drive. WHEEEEEE! It was great fun. Hopefully Rebecca will stop being a camera diva and allow me to snap some shots of her again in the near future!
