time out!
We took another trip down to Myrtle beach this week. I think we all needed a little break. We went to a zoo there this time, and the boys got to feed all kinds of animals like goats, llamas, deer, sheep, ducks and even a camel! Rory thought this was the funnest trip ever! He got right in there with Dakota to feed all the animals. Then we did the aquarium, which is always fun for them no matter how many times we go. Fuad and Dakota got to play some mini golf just the 2 of them which they loved. The first few days we got there it was too cold for beach time, so we used the indoor water park like crazy! Dakota has turned into quite the swimmer. And Rebecca did very well on her first vacation... although she slept through alot of it. This was definitely our last trip for a little while though. it's much harder to juggle 3 kids then it is with 2.

These 2 are just a couple of clowns!

Herb Garden
We decided that this year we would attempt a larger herb garden. In past we have really just grown basil to use fresh. But this year we expanded to 2 types of basil, cilantro, and chives. Fuad did an awesome job building a border for it in the yard. Dakota has been out most days to help Fuad water it, while Rory just looks on... I think he believes it is some sort of a sand box or something.

A happy Easter
We had a really busy Easter this year. We got up early with the boys and hunted for the Easter baskets and had an Easter egg hunt in the house, then ran out the door and headed for the zoo. We went to a zoo over in North Carolina this time. The boys seemed to have a good time. Something about a zoo and walking seemed to break Rory's spirit though. But we got to see a polar bear this time! Dakota was so excited about it. He kept on asking it to swim...but the polar bear must have had a busy night because all it did was nap. Anyhow, after LOTS of walking we conquered another zoo and had a very happy Easter!
Dakota and Rory looking over all their goodies! They had so much fun, but Rory still doesn't have the concept of the Easter egg hunt down.

One month old
my Mom and Rebecca, she still looks so tiny!Rebecca is now one month old. She has put on a few pounds since she as born. she is now 7 1/2 lbs. She is starting to hold her head up pretty well, and can now focus on things she is looking at. So far everyone has done pretty well to having a new little person in the house. Rory comes and kisses her hand when she is crying, or will pet her belly. I would say it is out of love, but he does the same thing to his stuffed lion. So I am not too sure. Dakota thinks she is just great, and loves all the baby toys that come along with a new baby. In fact, the boys play with the stuff on her activity mat more then they do their own toys lately! Anyhow,we are looking forward to the Easter bunny visiting us tomorrow, and are sure to have LOTS of pictures! Happy Easter everyone!

Spring Parade
Today Dakota's school held a spring parade where they played music and let the kids dress up silly. (Any excuse for silliness is great, right?) So we decorated a hat for Dakota and Dressed him up in my NY Giants jersey....it was the only one we had that he could wear without tripping. He had a ball! They played "bunny hop" and through the song Dakota would hop forward a bit, stop, laugh with his friends, and hop some more! I am so pleased that we found a school that does so many fun things for the kids!

Back on my feet!
I am officially back on my feet! I have not felt this good, this fast, after having a child before. Lucky for me Fuad is still home, so that I can really work on getting everyone back into a routine. Fuad's mom got a chance to come and see Rebecca, And my parents are coming right behind her. The boys love being able to see their grandparents so much! Rebecca is steadily gaining weight, and just gets cuter with every day. Rory is doing well with adjusting his new "big brother" role. He is very gentle with Rebecca and is using his words more and more. Dakota is just Dakota. He is the biggest ham, and loves to have his grandparents around to give him so much extra attention! Fuad's foot is near perfect, he even mowed the lawn yesterday! I miss all of our friends and family that we have not gotten to see lately. We will join the rest of society soon!
Rory is telling Dakota about Wall-e on his shirt. Both my boys love Wall-e like crazy!
