Dakota's graduation
We attended Dakota's preschool graduation this morning. He looked so handsome! The class sang songs that they had learned throughout the year, they recited the pledge of allegiance, and then received their certificates. It was wonderful. Next up....Kindergarden!
Our little family. Rory took issue with standing in wet grass.

Memorial weekend fun
I love it when we get long weekends. Or rather when Fuad gets a long weekend. We did nothing but relax and play all weekend.Saturday we just played outside all day, Sunday we had some friends over for hot dogs and hamburgers, and the kids all got to play. Dakota and his friend Kayla get along SO well. They never seem to argue or anything. And Rebecca and their youngest son, Kyle are only about a month and 1/2 apart. So I am sure they will be friends also. Then today we just played board games and watched movies. just a fun family weekend. Like I said, I LOVE IT!
Dakota was pretending to be Santa on the rooftop. he is so cute!

cookie pizza
Dakota is the leader in school tomorrow, and since about February he has been asking me to make cookie pizza. Well I finally told him we would do it, now that I have Rebecca on some sort of routine. We had fun and it turned out really cute!
The "cookie" made up of shortening, grated orange peel, sugar, egg and Bisquick mix.

Another round
For those of you who have had the pleasure of meeting our sweet Dakota, you also know how he does not let ANYTHING go. So when he realized that Rory and I picked strawberries he began the process of wearing us down until he got a turn also. Didn't take long because we were right back out there filling up another box! I agreed because I got to get better pictures, and because I want to freeze some more. So here are more pictures of us at the strawberry field. Enjoy, I know we did.

A pet parade with strawberries on top!
What a busy day we had. Today Dakota's class had their pet parade. Now I know you are probably wondering why Dakota brought a stuffed snake, when we actually do have a cat. Well, I was mainly afraid that Belle would be scared senseless with all the other animals like hamsters and other cats...not to mention dogs. So we opted to bring a stuffed pet. Much safer. Dakota was amazed at how many of his friends also have pets. Real pets I mean. He said everyone can have stuffed animals, but not everybody has REAL pets! He is too funny. Then once it was over Rory, Rebecca and I went to the local strawberry field and picked strawberries. Rory was SO into it! he carried the box the entire time and would set it down, pick a few strawberries, and then continue on. Good thing too, because Rebecca was not thrilled at the idea at first. But I eventually got her to settle. It was a really fun morning. But upon reflection I will definitely need some extra hands in future.

Muffins 4 Mom
Dakota's class had muffins for mom today. The class made blueberry and cinnamon muffins and they were excellent! They also made a card, and little picture hangers complete witht a sweet picture. Dakota seemed so proud to present me with a gift he made himself! And he really enjoyed sharing muffins with me. Happy Mother's Day!

Diamonds are a girls best friend!
I did it.... I took Rebecca to get her ears pierced! She was such a great sport about it, she only cried for like 5 min. Good thing she won't remember any of it. I know I should have waited, but alot of friends kept telling me that when you wait till they are older that their more likely to play with them. So I got Rebecca her first set of diamonds. She looks SO stinkin' cute!

Springfest
Today we went to the annual springfest. It was lots of fun for the kids! We got to climb around the fire truck, the kids played on almost all the inflatables, Dakota got to do moon bounce which he always loves, and of course they were happy to play on the park playground. I am not sure why but my 2 boys, along with 90% of the other kids went for the playground first... which they can play on all the time! Silly kids. Still there was music so they got to dance and eat ice cream in the middle of the day at a festival! And that's always a recipe for a good time!
Fuad, dakota and rory in front of the fire truck. Notice the boys are both in their fire truck shirts. Dakota said they had to wear them since we were going to be on a fire engine!
