A change of plans
Today was another one of those Mondays that drive me crazy. Rory got home from school and wanted to go play in his room. I told him he could not because Miss M (His therapist) would be coming soon to work with him. Rory asked me if he would get to play the legos that Miss M has for him and I said "I am sure that she would love to let you play with them." One hour later Miss M did not come. Rory was beyond crazy for legos so we picked up and went to Mema and Grandpa Jacks' house. Rory got to build several rocketships while watching Buzz Lightyear, and Rebecca and I took a few pictures on the back hill. She was feeling left out since the small legos are not for her (she puts them in her mouth) Lucky for me she is always ready and asking to take a few pictures! Hopefully the rest of the week will straighten out and we will get back into our routine. But it is nice to have improv days!

Just a few more
So I didn't take as many pictures as I planned. We all went so that the younger kids could cheer Dakota on in his first play, and they were monkeys the whole time. Climbing all over Fuad and I and standing in chairs to see through all the people in front of us,so alot of the pictures are quite blurry from being the photographer/ jungle gym. I got a couple that are not super bad though. I will be asking for copies from friends that were closer up for sure! Dakota did great and all the children seemed to love being up there performing! We are proud of you as always Dakota and can't wait for the next play!

Another Mommy/daughter sewing project
Rebecca and I enjoy our time alone in the mornings. And while some mornings are not productive at all, some are just the oppisite. Today we tried our hand at making Rebecca a floor pillow. Rebecca is an expert at pinning my fabrics in place and gives herself a big cheer after each one! She used to have a beanbag to sit and read in, but it was so light that she could pick it up and put it in places (like on top of the bed) and would run into lots of boo-boos. So this one we weighed down a bit using fleece throws as well as fluff filler. The end result is super cute I think. Best part, she cannot shift it!

Easter excitement

Easter 2012 is now passed and we got to spend it with our neighbors and their grandsons. The kids all had a huge easter egg hunt around mid-day and had a great time. We love having times like this to spend enjoying our kids being kids. As they grow older we know some of the magic of the holidays will fade away, as long as they remember the true meaning as to why we celebrate them, we are happy!
