A perfect weekend

We had the most beautiful weather this weekend! Fuad and I took the kids downtown and walked around,went to the comic store,and watched the boys try to play chess. Then just sat at home and enjoyed the nice warm weather! It was wonderful just to sit together and laugh at the kids playing together. Rory is amazing us more everyday with his growing Patience and understanding. Dakota is and probably always will be the leader! He keeps us laughing from sun up to sun down. And as sad as I am that my baby girl is nearly 2 Rebecca is such a bright and happy girl. Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Another round

We got another bout of snow today,and it is still coming down! Fuad whispered to me this morning that it did, in fact snow last night and Dakota with his Vulcan hearing jumped out of bed yelling "SNOW!" Everyone was up by 7am and we all went out to play by 8:30am. After about an hour we came in for some hot chocolate and cupcakes, and played inside. We wish Fuad could have taken off work, it is always more fun to have snow days together. But we did have fun and enjoyed the beautiful winter weather!

YES! I joined in the ranks and tried my hand at a coffee filter wreath. They just look SO fluffy! So here is what I did...






I swore I was going to make one of these lovelys last year, but well I did not. Mine was a bit more time consuming since I painted the edges and antique brown,and had to wait for it to dry. Totally worth the wait! I love how it turned out and am planning to do a book page wreath next... maybe even sometime this year!
