Ok, this will be the last Dakota birthday post, promise! But fair warning, it will get updated over the weekend. Dakota's aunt and uncle work during the week, so we will have the birthday cake and other goodies then. It is hard for Dakota having a summer birthday because basiclly ALL of his friends are away on vacation. So we got him the new Lorax movie and he watched it with a couple of friends, then I put up the bounce house and let them go wild for the afternoon. After the friends had to head home we had Mema and Grandpa Jack over and had dinner and cupcakes and presents! We love our young man Dakota.
I snapped a picture of Dakota before a few of his friends came over to celebrate. Lucky for us 2 of his friends came back in town the night before. I know it was a small party compared to most of his birthdays, but it was still a good time and the kids had a lot of fun!

LOVE Shel Silverstein. We bought my girls 'where the sidewalk ends' and 'a light in the attic' last xmas! Have you ever heard him do a book narration? He sounds crazy LOL. Happy belated bday Dakota!
He does sound nuts, but I can still hear them. We used to listen to the cassettes when we would take road trips as kids. I loved the voices he would do!
