CARE center

Today we went to the CARE center for Rory's autism evaluation. I have to say this is the first time I have been to an eval. and Rory did well with the People observing him. He was happy, and vocal. It was great. Rory has been diagnosed with autism. So now we have a better understanding of what we can do to help him as he grows. We know where he needs our help and understanding, and what areas we need to work with him on to catch him up before he gets to Kindergarten. It was a nice break to be able to spend the entire day with my sweet son, and catch up on all the awesomeness that is Rory!

Outside, taking a break.

It is nice to know what you are dealing with. Once we had a name, it was easier to research and find experts.

And I've spent many precious days with my son over the years as we travel to doctor's appointments, evaluations, therapies, behavioral interventions, etc.

Sometimes I wonder why I'm so attached to him compared to my other two and then I remember I spend a lot more time with him.
